How Menopause Yoga Can Help?

Perimenopause is the transition to menopause, starting in the mid-to-late 30s or 40s, lasting several years to over a decade. Menopause occurs after 12 consecutive months without a period, typically between ages 45 and 55, with an average onset of 51 in the UK. This stage involves a decline in oestrogen, causing symptoms like hot flushes, anxiety, and mood swings. Many women experience confusion and loss of identity during this time, historically a taboo subject. However, women sharing experiences can foster support and release oxytocin, promoting well-being. Stress also exacerbates menopause symptoms, making it essential to manage well-being during this time of transition.

OUR Menopause Yoga Workshops

Bringing together Western science and Eastern wellbeing, these workshops offer holistic support for all stages of menopause.

As a Menopause Yoga accredited teacher, I create a space where you can:

  • Connect with like-minded women in a supportive, confidential setting to feel heard, understood and uplifted (sharing within the women's circle is always optional).

  • Learn fact-based information about menopause, symptoms, and options including HRT, natural remedies, nutrition, and Ayurveda.

  • Practice a specially adapted blend of Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, combined with breathing techniques and meditation to help manage hot flushes, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, mood changes and irritability.

  • Provide an opportunity to journal and self-reflect allowing you to embrace this natural 'pause' in life as a time for self-care and renewal.

Menopause can feel isolating, but you are not alone. These workshops provide community, knowledge, and practical tools to help you feel empowered, supported, and more at ease as you step into this new chapter with confidence.
