RECLAIMING YOUR WELLBEING

The Physical & Emotional Benefits

Menopause Yoga provides holistic support for the mind and body, offering a practical toolkit to manage the most challenging aspects of the transition.

Physical Relief

Cooling the Body: Specific restorative postures and breathing techniques designed to manage and reduce the intensity of hot flushes and night sweats.

Fighting Fatigue: Gentle movement that restores energy levels rather than depleting them, combating deep physical exhaustion.

Better Sleep: Practices designed to quiet the mind and regulate the nervous system, offering relief from insomnia and sleep disturbances.

Mental & Emotional support

Reducing Anxiety: Grounding techniques to soothe the nervous system, helping to alleviate feelings of overwhelm, irritability, and mood changes.

The Power of Community: Gathering and sharing experiences with other women fosters deep support and releases oxytocin (the "love hormone"), which naturally reduces stress and promotes a profound sense of wellbeing.

In our supportive, confidential setting, you will:

  • Connect: Share space with like-minded women to feel heard, understood, and uplifted (sharing within our women's circle is always optional).

  • Learn: Receive fact-based information about menopause symptoms and options, including discussions around HRT, natural remedies, nutrition, and Ayurveda.

  • Practice: Learn actionable yoga and breathwork tools to take home.

  • Reflect: Enjoy dedicated time to journal and reconnect with your sense of self.

These retreats provide the community, knowledge, and practical tools to help you feel empowered, supported, and more at ease as you step into this new chapter with confidence.

UNDERSTANDING THE PRACTICE

A Specially Adapted Practice

Menopause Yoga is not a standard yoga class. It is a specially adapted methodology designed to support the specific physical and hormonal changes occurring in the body.

Taught by Dr Gurpreet Solanki, a fully Accredited Menopause Yoga Teacher, our practice brings together Western medical science and Eastern wellbeing. We use a gentle, accessible blend of Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, seamlessly combined with targeted breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation.

Rather than pushing the body, we focus on cooling, calming, and grounding the nervous system to help you embrace this natural "pause" in life as a time for self-care and renewal.

NAVIGATING PERIMENOPAUSE & MENOPAUSE

How Menopause Yoga Can Help?

Perimenopause is the profound physical and emotional transition to menopause, often starting in a woman's mid-to-late 30s or 40s, and lasting anywhere from several years to over a decade. Menopause itself officially occurs after 12 consecutive months without a period, typically between the ages of 45 and 55.

During this stage of life, the natural decline in oestrogen can cause a wide range of symptoms, including hot flushes, anxiety, insomnia, and mood swings. Historically, this has been a taboo subject, leaving many women experiencing confusion, isolation, and a loss of identity. Furthermore, modern stress exacerbates menopause symptoms, making it essential to actively manage your nervous system and wellbeing during this time of transition.
